Kayaks and Stand-up Paddleboards
Wenderholm Regional Park is located 30 minutes North of Auckland City, at the mouth of the Puhoi River.
Wenderholm was the first and remains the most beautiful of Auckland's Regional Parks. It has a diverse landscape containing one of Auckland’s best examples of mainland coastal forest, mangroves, salt marsh and a fine swimming beach. Bird life abounds at Wenderholm and the historic Couldrey House is now a museum, which is open to the public.
Puhoi River Kayak Hire has single and double kayaks and stand-up paddleboards for hire to enable you to explore this delightful estuary.
So load up the car, pack a picnic, bring some cash or Eftpos – and get on out here and enjoy the great outdoors!
You will find us at the boat ramp adjacent to the main car park at Wenderholm Regional Park.

Hourly Hire Rates
- Kayaks are available for hire for 1/2 hour to an hour.
- Kayak Hire includes paddle and lifejacket.
- Freedom rental basis, self-guided.
- A Terms of Hire Agreement is signed prior to departure.
Single Kayak: $20 per 1/2 hr
Single Kayak: $30 per 1 hr
Stand-up Paddleboard: $20 per 1/2 hr
Stand-up Paddleboard: $30 per 1 hr
Double Kayak: $30 per 1/2 hr
Double Kayak: $50 per 1 hr
We operate Wenderholm Beach Kayak Hire 3 hours either side of high tide
